Doctor Recognitions

Dr. Allan Zelinger was recently appointed as the President of the Chicago Society of Echocardiography.

Dr. Muhyaldeen Dia was recently appointed to serve as the Associate Program Director for the combined University of Illinois, Chicago/Advocate Christ Medical Center Cardiology Fellowship Program.
His story.

Dr. Mai Vadali has been certified at St Francis Hospital in New York to interpret Level II Cardiac MR exams. She is one of a select few physicians in the Midwest Certified to interpret the Level II Cardiac MR exams.

Dr. Matthew Kamin named Physician of the Year!

Dr. Kamin was selected by his peers as the 2008 Physician of the Year at St. James Hospital for demonstrating a high regard for his patients, the hospital staff and the community. "It took me by surprise, a very pleasant surprise," said Kamin. "It's a very big honor."

Congratulations to Dr. Allan Zelinger!

Dr. Allan Zelinger from Cardiology is among the twenty-five cardiologists and radiologists in the State of Illinois to become board certified in Cardiovascular Computed Tomography. This indicates a level of recognized expertise in interpreting coronary CT angiography, a new and promising noninvasive means of assessing the coronary arteries. Advocate Christ is one of the centers in the Chicagoland region that has pioneered the use of this technology to benefit its patients over the last few years.

Pulmonary Hypertension Program

It is with great pleasure that we announce the opening of our Pulmonary Hypertension Program.

This clinic will be headed by Dr. Muhyaldeen Dia, M.D.,FACC in partnership with pulmonologist, Dr. Sahloul from Pulmonary Consults SC. Together with their staff, these two physicians will work to serve a vastly under treated population of patients.
